The powerhouse trio—comprising Miroslav Cába, Radek Kroc, and drummer/producer Petr Kotora—has definitively shattered local boundaries. The band officially confirmed today that their brand-new single Hard Night (UPC 859744146662) is now officially Live across all global digital platforms, setting the final stage for their highly anticipated new studio album scheduled for release in early September 2026.

World-Class Production and Star-Studded Collaboration

The modern era of Extra Band is engineered to meet rigorous international rock standards. At the core of this operation is drummer and producer Pete Kotora, whose state-of-the-art recording studio acts as the band’s creative headquarters. Kotora’s immense musical credibility is highlighted by his direct artistic collaboration with the legendary American bass virtuoso Billy Sheehan (of Mr. Big, David Lee Roth, and Steve Vai fame) on his international project Gods Elements. A prime testament to the band’s professional global vision was their meticulous preparation ahead of their very first historic tour of Brazil, which took place this spring. Before even boarding the plane, Extra Band custom-crafted and released specific tracks designed as an exclusive gift dedicated specially to their Brazilian fans. The singles Festa dos Mortos and Coração de Amor were written to honor the local culture, language, and vibrant temperament, establishing a deep connection with the audience across the ocean.
Keeping the creative engine running, the band has just unleashed the high-octane track Hard Night. Alongside recently released fan-favorites like Love Story and Máme Fire, it perfectly paves the way for the upcoming full-length record. The band’s global ambitions manifested into a major international milestone this year. Extra Band embarked on an intense three-week tour of Brazil, delivering 10 explosive live shows in major metropolises like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (including a standout performance at the Rock Experience).
Despite their international momentum, the band remains dedicated to their fiercely loyal home crowd. Their current arena show concept uniquely bridges their past and future. During the first half of the concert, original founding member and bassist Jaroslav Rajtmajer joins the band on stage as a special guest to perform their iconic 1980s hits. The second half of the night then shifts gears into a modern stadium-rock show of a truly global caliber.

The Power of Thought

This year the band also released a new album called The Power of Thought, which contains 14 tracks. It's a complete story with something for everyone. The individual songs contain the story and journey of each of us from the beginning to the end of our lives. The LP was released on June 29, 2024 globally on all platforms Spotify, Google play etc and social media. This album was also recorded in the studio of the band's drummer Peter Kotora, who is the producer.

Singles

Music label Petr Kotora released a single from Gods Elements called Time on 21.12.2022. This single contains two tracks. The first track titled Born is 3:10 long and the second track One More Time is 4:30 long and is released for the upcoming album. Jesse Smith UK is behind the microphone, Radek Kroc CZ is behind the guitar, Billy Sheehan USA is on bass guitar and Petr Kotora CZ is behind the drums.

A few weeks later, on January 23, 2023, the first EP called Time II, saw light of day with total of three songs: Angels 4:12, Sorry 4:30 and One Way 3:53. The five songs will appear on the band’s first studio effort with a total of ten musically sophisticated and genre-varied songs. The release of the album is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
